Once purchased, you'll have umlimited access to it! It's a prerecorded course, so you can watch and jump between each lesson as you please :)

Yes! :) There are subtitles in the following languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Polish and Dutch

What are students able to do after taking the course?

Students should be able to create lively portraits with interesting, organic and leaf-like light patterns.

Do you teach theoretical knowledge?

I don't teach things like color theory as I focus on the painterly process itself. However, there is a unit dedicated to basic theoretical knowledge and anatomy and lighting, and how you can apply it.

The entries have been judged, and it really wasn't easy! There were many great pieces to pick from, so sadly not everyone who deserved a prize will receive one. We hope you will understand and respect our choices. Please don't be hateful to anyone if you are unhappy with the results! Leffie and I tried our best to judge these pieces based on the criteria we mentioned in the journal.

We appreciate all the time and effort each one of you put into your entries! We would like to thank all of you for participating :

LeffiesArt and I judged the entries based on the following criteria:

Creativity and Originality – Amaze us with a beautiful and creative concept/idea!

Skill – How well can you paint/draw/craft? We are looking for pieces that show off your style and skill.

Composition – The placement of key objects should be well thought through.

Use of colours –The colours you use should harmonize and fit with your chosen themes.

Overall impression – Based on our personal impressions of the pieces.

1st Place

by Harkale-Linai

Creativity – The concept of the story you wrote greatly supports this piece and shows how much thought and care was put in your entry.

Skill – Your talent shines here – we love all the little details in the water and how you can see each little brush stroke.

Composition – The piece looks balanced: the placement of key elements are well thought through.

Use of colours – The mix of green and blue colours work beautifully together and contrast nicely with Nando’s golden accessories.

Overall impression – This entry’s stunning visuals and the supporting story really make it stand out. Congratulations, Earlinwe!

2nd Place

by Bushaqua

Creativity – This is a sweet and creative concept, and we love it for its simplicity.

Skill – You’re a very skilled artist. We admire the shading and highlights in her skin and hair.

Composition – The central placement of the woman and the lemon earing was a good choice. Use of colours – The colours you used here really stand out due to the light source you chose: the contrast between the lemon and the blue/purple colours draws attention to the glowing earing.

Overall impression – It’s not the most detailed entry, and that’s why we admire it. Overall, we find it looks stunning just the way it is.

3rd Place

by Pameloo

Creativity – We love that you used your own characters and played with the term “ocean”. This scene is something we as siblings could relate to when we were kids.

Skill – This piece certainly shows off your skills and we love all the little details in the background.

Composition – The diagonal placement of the tiles and the bathtub also emphasize the motion of the piece. It also doesn’t look too crowded or too empty.

Use of colours – The bright and colourful palette fits nicely with the concept.

Overall impression – This is a very sweet piece that we can’t help but smile at. We also love the title “Tidal Wave”. Great work!

4th Place

by deviouslydevon

Creativity – You came up with a nicely designed character in a beautiful setting. We love how nature is a part of her design too!

Skill – We admire all the effort you put in all the little details. You also have great colouring and shading skills.

Composition – The woman is placed at the centre of the piece and framed by the all the different flowers and fireflies. This placement works very well.

Use of colours – The piece is just beautiful to look at due to the great colour scheme. We love all the highlights and shadings in the background.

Overall impression – Overall, we think it’s a stunning piece of art that deserves this high place.

5th Place

by AthanStudios

Creativity – Using a quote as the concept of this piece was a great choice and we love that you visualized it.

Skill – We admire all the little water bubbles to emphasize the drowning figure and seriousness of the situation.

Composition – The division of the two illustrations and the accompanying quote was a great choice and emphasizes the meaning of the piece.

Use of colours – The dark and blue colours are appropriate and fit nicely with the deep ocean.

Overall impression – This is a very creative and dark entry and we greatly appreciate the message you’re conveying.

6th Place

by Blueberries-in-July

Creativity –We love that you took the theme of “ocean” and made it so lively by adding all the different fish and plants.

Skill – The highlights emphasize the lively nature of the piece. You’re certainly a skilled digital artist.

Composition – The central placement of the girl works well as the fish and plants frame her face.

Use of colours – All the bright colours add to the lively and positive mood of the piece.

Overall impression – Your entry just brightens our mood and definitely makes us look forward to an exciting summer.

7th Place

by TokyoMoonlight

Creativity – We like your concept of mixing a woman with the ocean itself. The jellyfish hat is also adds nice touch.

Skill – We admire your watercolour skills! This piece certainly shows that you have had lots of experience with this material.

Composition – The upper placement of the woman’s face works nicely as the waves come from below.

Use of colours – The different tones of blue fit with the ocean’s colour and we like the gradient of the sunset.

Overall impression – We admire the execution of your nice idea. The final result looks lovely.

Honourable Mentions

All of these pieces below were very close to get a place. Please check out each of them and take a quick look at these great artists, writers and photographers.

A Summer's SkyHoney amber rays that spread through the blue
Ocean broken only by her children reaching for
A summer sky that gives hope to the old and the new.
Sweet is the fruit that still has droplets of dew
As morn gives way to the rest of the day and thus more
Honey amber rays that spread through the blue
Petals of morning glories in bloom true
Set upon by working bees before they soar to explore
A summer sky that gives hope to the old and the new.
Saplings grow large and strong on rays of an invisible hue
Only visible when their rays scatter invisible hues and pour
Honey amber rays that spread through the blue
Eyes of spring born cubs making their forest debut
They see natures wonders but child eyes adore
A summer sky that gives hope to the old and the new
Alas it gives way to a breath taking summer nights view
Where wolves howl at moon and star before day draws once more,
Honey amber rays that spread through the blue,
A summer sky that gives hope to the old and the new.
